Advanced Scrambling Skills (Option 1)
8 Places Available

This two day Advanced Scrambling course is for confident hillwalkers with some experience of either scrambling or climbing.

Individuals will develop their skills and confidence to cope with the more demanding Grade 2 and Grade 3 (Advanced) Scrambles. An Advanced Scrambling course is also a great way to learn or refresh the skills required for movement over alpine type terrain as a roped pair in preparation for a trip you are aspiring to take.

Over the course of the two days you will move over some great mountain terrain on offer in the stunning Lake District, developing your skills and confidence as you progress.

During the course, you will cover the range of skills that are required for you to move safely on Grade 2 and 3 scrambles such as, how to choose a route appropriate to your skill level and the weather conditions; how to navigate to and away from your chosen route; route finding; basic rope work; safe and efficient movement on the route.
